We are moving to a new topic: Economics

Natural Resources (water, soil, wood, coal)

Human Resources (people at work)

  • Think of 5 essential jobs that have been important during the coronavirus lockdown. What are they?

  • What human resource is your favorite? (Mine are the people at coffee shops!)

  • Draw a picture of a job you would like to have and write about it.

Capital Resources (machines, tools, buildings)

  • Think about capital resources, buildings especially, that have been closed during the coronavirus. What are they?

  • Use legos, blocks, or something around your house to build a capital resource.

Producer & Consumer/Goods & Services

  • Goods & Services Brain Pop - https://jr.brainpop.com/socialstudies/economics/goodsandservices/

  • QR code scavenger hunt (on a google slide, in google classroom)

  • IXL - F2, F3

  • Make a list of 5 goods and 5 services.

  • You can practice being a producer and consumer in your own home.  Take sometime to draw a picture, make a craft, bake a sweet treat, create something that you can sell (as the producer) price it, and then play “store” with your family.  They will be the consumers and you will have to “buy” from them.  Then switch roles!
