 v Cafeteria News: Each year, the School Nutrition Program establishes a cut-off date for meal charges in the school cafeterias.  Beginning Monday, May 21^st, students must either have money with them when they come through the line or have sufficient funds on their student meal account to cover what is purchased.  You can still use Café Pre-Pay or add money to your student’s account.  To check on account balances call the cafeteria at (540) 947-2516 or go online to www.cafeprepay.com.

v PTA program on May 3^rd: preK/K/1^st grade will be performing at 7p.m.

v SOL tests start on Tuesday, May 15^th for grades 3-6.  Try to avoid appointments on those days; be sure to let the teachers know if your student does have any appointments that are unavoidable.  (Once students start an SOL test, it cannot be stopped.)

• Students should have breakfast the day of each test and get plenty of sleep the night before.  Try to maintain a consistent schedule.

• School Nutrition Employee Appreciation Day is Friday, May 4th. 
• School Nurse and Teacher Appreciation Week is May 7th-11th
• We honor our aides, bus drivers, and custodians on Wednesday, May 9th.

v May 25^th is Run for the Wall (RFTW). Due to the large number of RFTW veterans eating lunch at our school, there will be no parents/families eating lunch with students on this date.
