PowerSchool Enrollment is open for 2020-2021 Kindergarten Registration! 

NEW Kindergarten students who have never been in a Bedford County School before, click HERE.  

BCPS preschool (VPI and Head Start) students* who will be moving up to Kindergarten, click HERE.  (*You will need a Snapcode for your child. These codes were emailed and mailed to families on 5/12/20.)

PRESCHOOL APPLICATION INTAKE will now be completed online with an additional option of printing and mailing as well. Directions for submitting applications are located on the preschool and kindergarten webpage. Also included on the webpage are links to resources for families that may need support with obtaining physicals, immunization records, and birth certificates. Below is the link along with the directions for our families.

Mission Statement

Montvale Elementary students will be prepared for success in the twenty-first century by integrating technology, hands-on learning, and active involvement in the learning process. Highly-qualified staff will design and implement the educational process addressing individual differences and focusing on the belief that all students are capable learners. Parent and community participation will have an important role in this process. All students will be educated in a safe and secure environment that promotes responsibility, manners, self-esteem, and communication.

Bedford County Public Schools still remains closed to the public, but essential appointments for registration can be made by calling your child's school between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday-Friday.

The National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) has developed a parent resource on how to talk about COVID-19 with your child. The CDC provides daily updates and health-related guidance in regards to COVID-19 if further information is needed for your family.
